Our revolutionary model of integrated, sustainable agriculture in Paikgacha, Khulna transforms rural food and energy systems. Starting on 1 acre of land with plans to expand to 10 acres by 2027, we're building a zero-waste, pesticide-free ecosystem that empowers communities while ensuring food security and generating renewable energy. By combining coral fish farming with Black Soldier Fly larvae-based feed, organic poultry in elevated coops, papaya and brinjal cultivation for organic feed, biogas from poultry waste, and hybrid solar-wind energy systems, we've created a completely circular farming approach. This climate-smart agriculture model serves as both a productive farm and research-ready setup for future agricultural innovation in Bangladesh.
Project Components
Coral Fish Farming
Our sustainable aquaculture system uses 100% organic BSF larvae-based feed, eliminating the need for commercial fish feed. The pond integrates with other farm components, creating a balanced ecosystem that produces high-quality protein while maintaining water health through natural processes.
Black Soldier Fly Unit
Producing up to 30kg of protein-rich larvae daily, our BSF unit converts organic waste into valuable animal feed. The self-sustaining colony requires minimal maintenance while providing essential nutrition for our fish and poultry, completing the farm's nutrient cycle.
Organic Poultry on Elevated Coop
4,000 chickens are raised in elevated coops above pond water, creating a symbiotic relationship where poultry waste fertilizes the water for fish. The birds are fed organic feed from farm-grown ingredients and BSF larvae, producing chemical-free eggs and meat.
Papaya & Brinjal Cultivation
Surrounding the pond, these pesticide-free crops serve dual purposes: providing organic feed inputs for poultry and generating additional income. The integrated planting system improves soil health while maximizing land use efficiency in our circular model.
Biogas Plant
Converting poultry waste into clean cooking fuel and organic fertilizer, our biogas system completes the waste-to-energy cycle. The plant provides renewable energy for farm operations while producing nutrient-rich digestate that enhances our organic crop production.
Solar Power System
Roof-mounted solar panels provide consistent renewable energy for farm operations. The system is designed for easy expansion as the project grows, with smart energy management that integrates with our other power sources.
Wind Turbine Tower
Our 30-50KW wind energy system complements solar power, especially during monsoon seasons. The hybrid renewable setup ensures consistent energy supply for farm needs while contributing excess power to nearby households.
